Lightweight replacement boot lid for the mk2 Golf
These “Road spec” boot lids are a direct replacement, full replica inside and out, supplied ready to bolt-on. The fit is perfect and they weigh less than a third that of the original steel item. Available in either fully carbon (2.4kg!), standard carbon (carbon fibre outer/fibreglass inner frame) (3kg), or fully fibreglass (4kg).
The carbon fibre is finished in a high-gloss clear coat, showing off the 2x2 twill carbon fibre weave. (3k, aerospace grade). Dry carbon is vacuum bagged and resin-infused, to ensure zero air bubbles and the lightest possible part.
The fibreglass is finished in a high-gloss black (or white on request).
All of our parts can be painted if required.
Our boot lids are all made-to-order (can take 2 weeks to dispatch), which means you can choose how light/strong you’d like them to be. Just let us know your preferences and special requirements when ordering.
We also make “Race spec” parts with no inner frame structure, intended for racing and track-orientated cars that require bonnet pins to fit. Please call or email for more info.
