Porsche Cayman gets the PERFORMANCE-TRIM treatment
Posted on: 09/02/2009

Thanks to Autofarm, the classic and performance Porsche specialists, PERFORMANCE-TRIM have developed both bonnet and engine lid for the new Porsche Cayman (the bonnet also fits the 997 and Boxster). Autofarm approached us with a concept and 10 weeks later it was a reality – a pair of lightweight panels to knock tens of kgs from the curbweight, at heights in the car that make a real difference to the centre of gravity. Combined with a Lexan polycarbonate rear screen that PERFORMANCE-TRIM supplied, Autofarm have achieved their target of building the GT3 of Caymans.
Both 911 & Porsche Magazine and Piston Heads website have given the first demo car rave reviews, so expect to see more of these light-weight racers soon at a motor-circuit near you.
